THST and the Independent Supporters Association at West Ham have today called for a final decision to be made on the scheduling of the upcoming Spurs v West Ham Premier League game. The match was moved to New Year's Eve for TV coverage on Sky, but ticket sales have been suspended and we understand there are still question marks over the game.
Tickets were due to go on sale to Spurs Bronze and Lilywhite members on Monday and Tuesday of this week. A decision was taken by THFC on Friday to postpone those sales until the time and date of the match was confirmed. 40,000 Season Ticket holders are already in possession of tickets for this game, still in the dark and unable to make plans.
THST Co-chair, Kat Law said "We know that both Clubs are pushing for a swift resolution but it seems ridiculous that six weeks out from the game supposedly taking place nobody knows when it is going to be played.
“We are in constant dialogue with the various bodies and the Clubs to try and find out what’s happening, as are the Football Supporters Federation, but there seems to be a lot of buck-passing.
"We all understand that matches get moved and fans make allowances for that and do all they can to get to games.
“If it gets moved back to the Saturday, then so be it. Likewise, if it is on New Year’s Eve, people will make their plans.
“But we just want this sorted - and very soon. It’s far from ideal at this time of the year.”
