The latest TV fixtures for the new Premier League season have just been announced. After two years of talking to the Premier League and the broadcasters about balancing the interests of all stakeholders including the fans, Spurs supporters face the following across August and September.

Travelling to Newcastle for a 12.30pm kick-off on the opening day; travelling to Manchester on August Bank Holiday Monday for an 8pm kick-off when Euston station is closed; travelling to Watford for a Sunday 4pm kick-off on a day of rail disruption in the region. The first game at our new stadium has also been moved to a 12.30pm kick-off, giving fans less time to get to know our new home on our first visit.

Looking at our fixtures alongside those facing other sides, it is clear fan representatives have been completely wasting our time sitting around a table to discuss this issue.

At least THFC have recognised the impact on fans and are laying on subsidised coaches for the trip to Manchester. We thank them for doing so.

The latest announcement represents a statement of complete contempt for matchgoing fans by the broadcasters and the Premier League.

We will be discussing as a Trust Board at our next meeting at the beginning of August how we can more effectively make our voice heard on this subject.
