We’ve taken part in the usual discussions with the police and both Clubs ahead of the upcoming Premier League and Carabao Cup games against Arsenal at The Emirates Stadium.
Both games are Category C-IR matches, with police wearing level 2 uniform with baseball caps, as is normal for a derby. There will be 30 Spurs stewards present at Sunday's league game, increasing to 45 for the Cup match on 19 December, clearly identifiable in yellow tabards. Both games have sold out.

- As far as we know, the pubs around King’s Cross will be opening at 10:00am on Sunday. This remains subject to review. Fans are advised to check with individual pubs in advance.
- Spurs fans meeting at King's Cross pubs are advised to move to The Emirates as early as possible. Police will not be imposing any departure time, but will aim to get any group to the stadium with no breaks. The Dolphin is the likely pick up spot for any move towards the stadium.
- The same experienced match commander and senior officers will take charge of both league and cup games.
GETTING TO THE GAME
- There is a full tube and rail service planned for both games. Fans are encouraged to use Highbury and Islington station on the Victoria Line.
- Please note that Holloway Road will be closed for 90 minutes after the matches.
ENTERING THE STADIUM
- The Emirates will open c. an hour and a half before kick off for both fixtures, so that's 12:30pm on Sunday for a 2.05pm kick off. Fans are advised to arrive as early as possible to ensure smooth entrance to the ground.
- For those making a return visit, the operation outside the turnstiles is as usual, with an extra lane now in place.
- Every effort will be made to help Spurs fans across the south bridge, directly across the external concourse and to the turnstiles as quickly as possible.
- Entrance for the Cup game will be similar to the league match, via turnstiles K, L and M.
- There is a strict search policy and all persons and all bags will be searched. Bags are allowed, but no bigger than a rucksack, please.
- Searching will be carried out before entering through the turnstiles.
- Spurs are taking 30 stewards on Sunday, who will be located outside the away turnstiles to meet and greet the fans then located inside on the bulk heads and on the segregation line during the game. THFC’s Safety Officer, Dean Smith, will also be present on the ground throughout the match.
IN THE GROUND
- Stewards will be present in the concourse. Some police will be present on the external concourse, moving inside as required.
- Alcohol will be served in the away section before both matches and at half time. However, this is subject to review and any behavioural issues may result in sales being pulled.
- Inside the stadium bowl, the segregation lines will be staffed by stewards from both Clubs. Police will not be deployed unless necessary.
- For the league game, away fans are in the same location inside the Emirates as in previous seasons. Our allocation is 3,000. For the Cup game, our allocation is 5,233 and the additional seats are located on the lower tier, extending further round behind the goal. Additional concourse catering facilities will be available for the Cup game, along with a hard segregation in the concourse.
POST MATCH
- There will be no change to the operational plans from other NLD’s at the Emirates. Police will be located outside the away turnstiles to monitor and deal with any disorder. There are no plans for any hold backs.
We hope this information is helpful and wish all Spurs fans a memorable and joyous couple of visits to the Emirates.
