For the past 18 months, we've made our position on pricing clear, and that position is on our website as a matter of record. The Club says it has heard what we have to say. But it has made it clear it does not view discussion on pricing as a consultation.
We expect there will be be significant reaction to the announcement, and no doubt heavy traffic on our social media feeds. Your Trust board members will, around the constraints of our day jobs, take time to digest the detail of the announcement and the reaction to it. And when we've done so, we'll say what needs to be said – including to the media. Because of the volume of traffic we are expecting, we simply won't be able to answer everyone who contacts us.
